Ancestry.com Adds Passport Data
Provo, Utah-based family history site Ancestry.com said today that it has added new data from U.S. Passport applications into its database. The firm said that it has released a collection of applications spanning from 1795 to 1925 from celebrities including Babe Ruth and Ernest Hemingway, among others. The passport applications include photos and other passport documentation. The high resolution scans of the applications, which were pulled from the National Archives, are available as part of the firm's subscription services.
