Phoenix, Arizona-based Radyne said Thursday that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire AeroAstro, a firm that designs microsatellites, in a deal worth approximately $18M. Radyne said that it will pay approximately $17.25M in cash, plus $750,000 in stock, for AeroAstro, which designs spacecraft equipment and satellite-based sensors for asset monitoring. Radyne said that Ashburn, Virginia-based AeroAstro had 2006 revenues of approximately $12.4M. AeroAstro also has offices in Littleton, Colorado and Albuquerque, NM.
