Berkeley Data Debuts Online Backup Service for Macs
Berkeley Data Systems has released an unlimited online backup service for Mac users, the company reported Thursday. For $4.95 a month, customers with the flagship Apple computers can have the site, which is still in beta and is known as Mac Mozy, encrypt and archive their digital media content. Mac Mozy marks the third Mozy-branded site for Berkeley. The company also runs the Mozy Online Backup service for Microsoft Windows users and Mozy Pro for businesses and retailers. Founded in 2005, Berkeley Data Systems boasts more than 180,000 total customers worldwide and is headquartered in Salt Lake City.
