SkyeTek Inc.'s partnership with Isochron Inc. has yielded its first windfall: vending machines inside the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport now accept payment from RFID-enabled credit cards, SkyeTek reported Monday. In October, Isochron chose to integrate SkyeTek's M2 touch-free payment modules as the radio frequency identification scanners on its vending machines. As a result, Atlanta airport visitors with RFID-ready plastic can now purchase food or drink by waving their cards in front of the machines. Based in Westminster, Colorado, SkyeTek develops RFID readers exclusively for OEMs, systems integrators and distributors. Isochron provides machine-to-machine solutions for the vending industry.
