Ancestry.com Expands Data From Iowa
Ancestry.com announced Thursday that it has added a significant amount of data from Iowa, and has digitized and indexed all of Iowa's State census records from 1836 to 1925. The Provo, Utah-based company, which provides resources for researching geneaology, said that its researchers spent more than two years of manually entering names from handwritten documents from the state. The new records encompass more than 14 million census records and 3 million images. Census records are used by families researching their family history.
