Salt Lake City, Utah-based Alpha Bay, a provider of retail systems and services, said today that it has closed a "significant" private equity investment. Amount of the funding and the identity of the private equity firms involved were not disclosed. Alpha Bay said that it will use the funding to fuel its growth in the enterprise software market. The company also said it would pursue expansion in the North American market, as well as in Europe and China.
