Tendril, Atmel Team On Wireless Sensors
Denver, Colorado-based Tendril said this morning that Atmel and the firm will integrate and bundle Atmel's AVRR 802.15.4 ZigBee hardware and Tendril's network opeations software. The integration will allow customers to deploy Atmel's wireless networking platform with IP networks, PC and PDA applications, and enterprise computing systems. Tendril's software allows customers to provision and monitor wireless sensor networks. The two will also co-market and provide joint support for the solution. Atmel is a manufacturer of microcontrollers and other electronic components.
