Micron Rolls Out New High Speed DRAM Products
Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology has rolled out a new RAM product that the company said is targeted at triple play communication services. The new next-generation reduced latency DRAM (RLDRAM) II memory is used by high speed networking products. Micron said the new memory has incrased to 576 Megabits in density and supports speeds of up to 533 MHz. The memory is being used by Juniper Networks and other network equipment manufacturers for buffering and other applications in switches, gateways, routers, and other high speed network devices. Micron said the memory is sampling to select customers with mass production expected in Q1 of 2007.
