Lindon, Utah-based Helius, a provider of IP video solutions, has promoted CTO Mike Tippets to President and COO, the firm said today. Current President and CEO Ron Heinz will continue at the company as executive chairman of the board. Tippets previously served at SonicWALL, Novell, and Sprint. Helius is developing IP software for transmitting video over satellite and local area networks.
