Boulder, Colorado-based Webroot has upgraded its anti-spyware software, adding protection against system monitors, keyloggers, and rootkits and a redesigned user interface. The firm said that its Spy Sweeper 5.0 software has added a new anti-keylogging component called Keylogger Shield, which it says can technology to accurately identify and block all types of keyloggers with an extremely low degree of false positives. The company also said it has bolstered its automated spyware research system for populating its spyware definition database. Webroot is a provider of anti-spyware software sold to the Windows consumer market.
