Sun Expands Channel with Avnet
Sun Microsystems has expanded its storage channel, with a new deal with Tempe, Arizona-based Avnet Technology Solutions. The two companies said today that Avnet will carry Sun's StorageTek products, an offer the complete line to Avent's partners. Products included in the deal are Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems, storage management software, storage networking, and tape storage products. Avnet is a major provider of storage products and electronics components for the channel. Sun's StorageTek storage group is located in Louisville, Colorado.
