Denver, Colorado-based Qwest Communications is in a new deal to provide connectivity to online brokerage firm Scottrade, the telecommunications provider announced Monday. Qwest has landed a $5.4M, three year agreement to upgrade 260 Scottrade stores with a MPLS wide-area network (WAN). Qwest said that it will migrate Scotttrade from one of its VPN IP networks to a the new WAN. Qwest's WAN service provides data, voice, and video connections agross its network. Scotttrade is a major online self-service stock brokerage.
