Salt Lake City, Utah-based Altiris has released an updated version of its PC deployment solution, and said that it will support Microsoft Vista deployment in the future. Altiris said today that its Deployment Solution software and PC Transplant software will be able to be used with Microsoft's Vista operating system. The company said that it is testing those solutions to be Windows certified and logo qualified when Vista ships in 2007. The company's 6.5 version of the software packages were recently released. Among other features that the software packages include are better virtual machine deployment, migration of security permissions, and unicode support.
