DigitalGlobe Partners With Getty Images
Longmont, Colorado-based DigitalGlobe has teamed up with Getty Images, a distributor and clearinghouse for visual content, to distribute its high resolution satellite imagery. DigitalGlobe said today that its satellite imagery depicting newsworthy events will be available to editorial customers via Getty Images. Getty is a major provider of photos and other images to the press. Terms were not disclosed. DigitalGlobe said that it will add new content on a daily basis for editorial customers, and that Getty Images will offer a DigitalGlobe-branded web site for additional distribution of the content.
