DigitalGlobe said today that it has begun delivering imagery from its WorldView-4 satellite to Australia, to help in that country's mapping of the continent. DigitalGlobe said those images are going to PSMA Australia, which is using those images to provide data on more than 20 million buildings across Australia, showing things such as building footprints and heights, rooftop materials, solar panels, and swimming pools. DigitalGlobe says it plans to make its WorldView-4 satellite imagery available to all commercial customers beginning this week, on August 31st.
