Denver, Colorado-based Jabber has upgraded its instant messaging appliance, saying that its updated 1.1 product now supports connections into Microsoft's Active Directory product. Jabber's appliance is used by enterprises to deploy instant messaging services. The software connects with AOL's AIM instant messaging service and Google's GoogleTalk instant messaging service. Other upgrades to the software includes a upgraded archiving plug in and better reporting functionality, including keyword and user-specific text searching.
