Denver, Colorado-based instant messaging software firm Jabber Inc. said today that the firm's software hs been selected by the U.S. Marine corps. According to Jabber, the Marine Corp has procured 283,000 licenses of its Jabber XCP software for active duty and reserve Marines, worth more than $3.4M. Jabber's XCP software provides instant messaging, group chat, presence, and other messaging services. According to Jabber, the deal also includes professional services, integration consultation, training, and other support.
