Denver, Colorado-based Jabber said today that it has updated its desktop enterprise instant messaging client and messaging platform. The firm said that it has updated its Jabber Extensible Communications Platform (Jabber XCP) to version 5.0, and updated its client, Jabber Messenger, to version 3.2. The new Jabber XCP 5.0 adds dynamic router discovery, a set of APIs to launch applications like Adobe Macromedia Breeze Meeting, and other tools to connect into antivirus and archiving software. The new client supports FIPS encrypted connections, hotkeys, import of AIM buddy lists, and file transfers.
