Centennial, Colorado-based Verio, a hosting and Internet provider, said today that it is focusing in on Internet services for small and midsized companies. Verio, which is a subsidiary of NTT Communications Group, said that it will launch a serires of new product initiatives and managed services specifically focused on small and midmarket businesses and partners. Verio previously was focused on enterprise hosting for large multinational businesses. Verio said that those services will be aggregated under NTT America's services, with Verio exclusively focusing on small and midmarket customers. The company has appointed Kiyoshi Maeda as President and CEO of the unit, and Dennis Boyle as COO.
