Denver Colorado-based Quark, publishers of the QuarkXPress page layout software, announced yestereday at MacWorld that the firm's desktop publishing tool will support Apple's new Intel-based Mac platforms. Quark said that a beta Universal Binary version of its tool will be available by the end of January. Universal Binary code will run on Apple's PowerPC and Intel Macintosh platforms. Quark also said that it is making beta versions of its version 7 QuarkXPress software available for public beta testing on both Mac and Window platforms, at no charge to customers.
