LogRhythm Gets Patent For Data Processing Technology
Boulder-based cybersecurity software developer LogRhythm has received a brand new patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, for technology it says it uses in data monitoring. The patent, U.S. Patent 10,091,217, "Risk based priority processing of data" was granted this morning, and had originally been filed for by the company on June 21 of 2016. The patent names Christopher L. Petersen and Mark Vankempen as inventors. Petersen is co-founder, Chief Product and Technology Officer at LogRhythm. Vankempen is no longer at LogRhythm, but is now Director of Research Operations at Boulder's Swimlane. LogRhythm said its patent covers the monitoring methods that enable risk-based classification of data, a critical component necessary to enable security operations center (SOC) teams to focus their resources on only their most critical and impactful security events. LogRhythm was represented by Marsh Fischmann & Breyfogle LLP in the patent filing. LogRhythm was recently acquired by private equity investor Thoma Bravo.
