sPower Buys Solar Project In Idaho

Salt Lake City-based renewable energy developer sPower said on Monday that it has acquired a 55 MW solar project in Idaho, which is supplying power to Idaho Power Company. According to sPower, the Idaho Solar 1 project is located in Kuna County, ID, and went into service in late 2016. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. sPower said the project is its first acquisition since it was acquired by AES/AIMCo last year. sPower buys and operates both wind and solar power assets.
