Mt. Gox Founder Surfaces At Denver Company

One of the most infamous figures in the early days of Bitcoin--Mark Karpeles, the founder of Mt. Gox--has surfaced at a Denver-based virtual private network (VPN) and blockchain company, London Trust Media, according to Fortune. In a long expose about the rise and fall of Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox, Fortune talks about the current fortune of Karpeles, who oversaw Mt. Gox, famous for losing all 850,000 Bitcoins it had in custody--or, approximately 7% of all Bitcoins outstanding at the time--in March of 2014. Fortune says London Trust Media is in the midst of expanding into cryptocurrency.
