Automox Raises $2.0M For Patch Management
Boulder-based Automox, a developer of automated patch management and endpoint protection software, said this week that it has raised $2.0M. The funding was led b Blue Note Ventures, and also included angels Ron Gula (Gula Tech Adventures, Tenable ); Art Coviello (RSA), Tim Belcher (RSA), Mike Viscuso (Carbon Black), Roger Thornton (AlienVault), and Tim Noonan (Internet Security Systems, JouleX). The startup--led by Jay Prassl--is developing software to automate the laborious effort of "patching" software for security holes, a major headache for IT and cybersecurity administrators. The company's software runs across multiple operating systems, including Window, Mac, and Linux. The company says its clients include Dollar Shave Club, Hootsuite, Quicken, Gaia, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Dizzion, and NTT Data Services. More information »
