Foundry Portfolio Firm's CEO Out After Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis

Matt Bencke, the founder and CEO of Mighty AI--which is backed by Boulder-based Foundry Ventures--has stepped down from his post as CEO after a diagnosis of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Bencke has written an article on Wired about the sudden diagnosis. Brad Feld of Foundry Ventures also weighed in on Bencke's announcement. Foundry was one of the early investors in Mighty AI. Bencke writes that there is a 0 percent, 5 year survival rate for pancreatic cancer patients.
