LANDESK Acquired By Clearlake Capital

Salt Lake City-based IT software developer LANDESK has been acquired by private equity investor Clearlake Capital, the two companies announced this morning. LANDESK--which had been owned by another private equity firm, Thoma Bravo--will be merged with an existing Clearlake Capital portfolio company, HEAT Software. The newly combined company will be led by current LANDESK CEO Steve Daly, and be based in Salt Lake City; HEAT CEO and Clearlake Operating Advisor John Ferron becomes Executive Chairman of the new company, which will be renamed later.
