JDA: Consumers Are Over Black Friday
Scottsdale, Arizona-based software developer JDA says it has run a survey of 1,000 U.S. consumers, which has found that consumers "are over" the traditional kickoff to the holiday shopping season. According to JDA's survey, it found that nearly 3 in 4 respondents (73 percent) to its survey found that consumers now prefer to do their holiday shopping outside of the holiday season--turning instead to Amazon Prime Day and other e-commerce sales. The company said its survey found that forty-seven percent of its respondents plan to skip Black Friday or Cyber Monday entirely this year. JDA said it surveyed more than 1,000 U.S. consumers, 18-years and older via the third party survey.
