Startup Games Coming To Denver

Startup Games, an effort which helps startups raise money for charities through such competitions as Ping Pong, Shuffleboard, Beer Pong, and MarioKart, says it is coming to Denver in the fall, and plans to hold an event on Saturday, October 15th. The group--which has been running events in another, startup hotspot, Austin--said it will host teams from eight Denver startup in its inagural Denver event at the Glitter Dome. The group says it has raised $275,000 in total over five years of events for charities in its home town of Austin. The group cited the "thriving startup scene and sense of community" for picking Denver as its first expansion market.
