Utah.gov Ties Into Google Now
In a continued demonstration of technology-savvy, the State of Utah said on Tuesday that it has rolled out a new connection between the state's Department of Public Safety and the Department of Technology Services and Google Now, the state said today. The two said that Utah.gov, the State's online portal, now automatically sends out Google Now cards when citizens schedule a driver license appointment, and even helps with driving directions. The Google Now technology pops up information on appointments--and helps guide you to those appointments--on your smartphone, from different apps. The State of Utah has been surprisingly forward looking in its technology usage, having rolled out such advanced features as an Amazon Echo app to drill you on driving rules, Google Glass apps for smart transit, and much more.
