Cloud Elements Ups Funding By $5M

Denver-based cloud API software developer Cloud Elements has grown its Series A funding to a total of $5.0M, according to a report this morning. Fortune said the round is a new Series A for the company, however, regulatory filings show that the funding is additional capital on top of an earlier, $2.5M raised--but not announced--by the company in August. The new funds bring the company's total raised to $8.1M. Cloud Elements has previously raised funding from Grotech Ventures, Icon Venture Partners, and Galvanize Ventures; Fortune said this new round came from Access Venture Partners and others.
