LifeLock Reaches Final Agreement With FTC

Tempe, Arizona-based identity theft protection services provider LifeLock said Thursday that the Federal Trade Commission has approved a comprehensive settlement agreement with the firm. The agreement--first announced in October--calls for LifeLock to put $100M into a registry of the court, with $68M to go towards a class action settlement, $32M to fund consumer redress ordered by any state attorneys general. LifeLock said the settlement bring to a close outstanding litigation with both the FTC and the class action suit against the company, once approved by the courts.
