Sphero: BB-8 Back In Stock

Boulder-based robotic ball developer Sphero told its mailing list users today that the Sphero BB-8 robot--the extremely popular, robotic ball based on the upcoming Star Wars film--is back in stock on its online store. The BB-8--which has been very, very difficult to find at retail stores this season--is one of the one of the most searched for toys on Google this year. As of Friday morning, Amazon.com was out of its own stock on the item, although there were multiple sellers selling the robotic ball at a steep markup through Amazon's marketplace. Sphero sells BB-8 for $149.99, while sellers on Amazon were asking $179.00 or more for the robot.
