Needle: Holiday Gift Giving Causes Stress
Salt Lake City-based e-commerce shopping expert provider <>Needle says that finding holiday gifts for loved ones is one of the biggest causes of stress during the holiday season, according to a national consumer survey it recently conducted. According to Needle, three out of four consumers are "plagued" with holiday gift giving stress, outranking both family obligations and holiday travel. The company's survey polled 1,246 individuals online in October. Needle--which provides expert "advocates" to e-commerce providers to help direct consumers to the right products for them--said it found that 69 percent of consumers are most likely to trust gift advice from someone who owns or uses the product rather than a sales associate, who are only trusted by 12 percent of shoppers.
