Picmonic Picks Up $2.3M For Visual Learning Software
Tempe, Arizona-based Picmonic, a developer of software to help people learn information visually, announced this morning that it has raised $2.3M in a funding round. The funding came from 2M Companies, Tallwave Capital, as well as Arizona Tech Investors, Desert Angels, and Matt Pittinsky, the CEO of Parchment and co-founder of Blackboard. Picmonic says it has now raised a toal of $5M in funding. The company said the funding goes toward hiring in Tempe, in the marketing, customer support, and development areas. Picmonic was founded by Ron Robertson and Adeel Yang. The company's software uses visual tools to turn hard-to-remember topics into easier to remember visual information.
