DigitalGlobe Gets Renewal On Intelligence Program
Westminster, Colorado-based satellite imaging provider DigitalGlobe reported today that it has received a contract renewal on a national security program. According to DigitalGlobe, the contract covers renewal of another year on the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (Global EGD), which is run by the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Size of the contract was not announced. DigitalGlobe said it provides high resolution, earth imagery to to the NGA, and updates more than 1 million square kilometers of new imagery every day into its systems. The company said it supplies those high resolution images to customers in usually less than four hours after downlink, and as quickly as 11 minutes.
