Rachio Gets Funding From Amazon's Alexa Fund
Denver-based Rachio, the developer of smartphone-connected irrigation controllers, has scored an investment from Amazon.com, as part of Amazon's $100M Alexa Fund. Size of the investment was not announced. According to Amazon, the investment was one of two investments today from the fund, which invests in companies which are connecting their devices to its Amazon Echo device, the company's living room device which listens to a user's requests to order items from Amazon, controls living room gadgets and home entertainment, and more. Amazon said Rachio is connecting up its smart irrigation controllers to Amazon Echo. More information »
