SpinGo Looks To Automate Event Calendar With New Launch
Salt Lake City-based SpinGo, the startup developing technology and software to help power event calendars for such publications as the New York Daily News, Boston.com, Tribune Broadcasting, SFGate.com, and others, said it has launched a new technology aimed at gathering live events into one giant database. The company--led by Kreg Peeler--said its new "Event Engine" combines human verification with computer automation, to gather 150,000 monthly events into a single database, which it distributes to over 1,100 publishers and apps. The company said the technology allows it to capture 95 percent of all major nation events, including music tours, festivals, and sporting events, and make that accessible to publishers and app developers.
