Foundry Backs Spare5, Feld Joins Board
Boulder-based venture investor Foundry Group has put its money behind a developer of a mobile app, which allows experts in certain areas to get paid on their spare time, for tagging photos and cleaning up data. Seattle-based Spare5 said this morning that it has raised $3.25M in a seed funding round, which was led by New Enterprise Associates, and also included The Foundry Group, Madrona Venture Group, and angels. Spare5 pays experts to tag photos with more information--such as architectural styles for houses, fabrics used in images, and other similar tasks. Foundry's Brad Feld joins the company's board with the funding. More information »
