Monnit In Business Monitoring Sensor Deal With Sprint

Salt Lake City-based wireless sensor developer Monnit and telecom carrier Sprint are in a deal to offer up wireless monitoring to businesses, using Monnit's technology. Sprint and Monnit said the new offering for its customers is specifically aimed at facility and plant management for its business customers. Financial details of the arrangement were not announced. The two said that Monnit currently offers up over 40 different types of wireless sensors--including temperature, humitiy, access, motion, water, light, and other sensors--all of which can be connected to a cellular gateway from Sprint. Monnit is led by Brad Walters.
