Report: Denver Police To Get Uber Sensitivity Training
The Denver Police Department is reportedly putting in place a new training program for its officers, after an incident where an officer pulled over an Uber driver and berated the customer over his use of the ridesharing service. The report--from Geekwire, the technology publication which is run by the brother of the customer in the incident and first reported the issue--said the Denver Police Department sent a letter noting that training has been established to ensure that all officers are aware of current regulations regarding Uber, Lyft and other legal means of transport.
