i.TV Launches New Sports Prediction App

Are you an ardent sports fan? Provo, Utah-based i.TV, the venture backed developer of social tools for the television market, said it has launched a new, iOS app called Spit, to test fans against their ability to predict games and plays. i.TV said the new iOS app supports NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAAF and NCAAB, and lets fans compete with others while watching a game. Predictions in those sporting event range from predicting the winning team to whether a team will run or pass in the next play. i.TV is venture backed by Union Square Ventures, RHO Ventures, RRE Ventures, DIRECTV and Time Warner Investments.
