Zayo Extends Cloud Connections

Boulder-based bandwidth provider Zayo is bolstering its efforts to connect to cloud services providers, saying yesterday afternoon that it has expanded its Connect to the Cloud platform. That platform directly connects Zayo's customers to cloud computing providers like Amazon Web Services and Softlayer -- skipping the public cloud. Zayo said the move gives its customers more reliable, secure, and high bandwidth connections to those cloud services. Zayo's bandwidth bypasses traffic and unpredictability on the public Internet and plumbs customers directly into those cloud providers.
