Revolv Rolls Out Android App, Connects Into Nest
Boulder-based Revolv, the developer of a smart home "hub" to help consumers manage all of their smart home and automation equipment from a single smartphone app, has rolled out a new, Android app. Revolv also said it has updated its iOS application, and added official support for Google's Nest smart thermometers and other products. Revolv's apps let users manage and coordinate all of their smart home devices, so that users could--for example--automatically turn off the lights and turn down the temperature when they leave the house, even when those devices are being managed through different interfaces. The company's app even uses a phone's location to determine if a user is or isn't at home, to help drive those automated actions. Revolv is venture backed by the Foundry Group.
