SolidFire Sets Marketing Head

Boulder-based SolidFire, the developer of flash-based storage systems, said today that it has named James Whitemore as its new Chief Marketing Officer, the first for the company. Whitemore was most recently at West IP Communications, and also served at Smoothstone IP Communications, Savvis, and also has served at Sun Microsystems, IBM, StorageTek and Standard Telephones and Cables (STC). The company said Whitemore will lead its worldwide marketing efforts.
