Orbotix Boosts Effort To Teach Kids Robotics, Engineering

Boulder-based Orbotix said Tuesday that it has partnered with Hack In The Box, a group which provides network security news and research, to help teach kids how to program robots. According to Orbotix, the two have tied together at an upcoming conference run by Hack In The Box, HITBSecConf, to help teach kids how to program robotics using Sphero's software developer kits and APIs. Orbotix also said it will be running an adult developer hackathon at the event--which is being held in Amsterdam--as well. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. Orbotix is the maker of the Sphero robotic ball.
