Contour Sports Action Cameras Come Back To Life In Park City
CONTOUR, the action sports camera brand which disappeared from the market at the end of 2013, has come back to life--thanks to a Utah team, which has taken over the assets of the company. According to the action sports brand, it has moved to Utah under new ownership, and plans to start launching new cameras in the coming months, and has again started accepting orders for the company's various action sports cameras. The new CONTOUR team says is is based in the "heart of Utah's Wasatch Mountain" and has "vastly improved" its distribution. The new company is headed by Danny Lysenko, and based in Park City. Lysenko has some very credible technology business experience, having last been head of World Wide Reseller Operations at Apple Computer; he was also a VP at Wal-Mart, and has served at such companies as Abercrombie & Fitch, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and was even Assistant Manager at Sundance Resort. Contour competes head to head with fellow sports action camera brand GoPro, which just had an IPO.
