Welltok Buys Mindbloom For Health Apps

Denver-based Welltok, which uses social, gaming, and other rewards to encourage healthy activities among employees, said this morning that it has acquired health app developer Mindbloom, which is based in Seattle. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Welltok said the acquisition will help it expand its capability to deliver mobile apps and experiences. Welltok, which is led by Jeff Margolis, is venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, IBM, Qualcomm Ventures, Emergence Capital Partners, InterWest Partners, Miramar Venture Partners and Okapi Venture Capital.
