Boise Looks To Attract Tech Companies, Employees With Slick Site
Is Boise the next big local market to become a technology center? The community is looking to spur interest from both companies and employees with a new, video-driven site, Grow Ideas Here, which features video testimonials from local employees about the benefits of the community. The site isdriven by such groups as the Boise Valley Economic Partnership and Idaho Commerce. Boise is not a stranger to the tech industry -- the town has long had such larger technology companies as Micron and Hewlett Packard in town, plus startups like Balihoo, Clickbank, and Silverback Learning--but has seen far less startup activity than similar communities like Boulder.
