Boulder Ionics Raises $500,000
Boulder Ionics, a developer of materials used in the manufacture of advanced energy storage devices, has raised $500,000 in a funding round, which will go towards a collaborative research and licensing deal in Australia, the company announced this week. The company said the funding comes from Southern Cross Renewable Energy Fund. Boulder Ionics--which is based in Arvada--said the funding goes towards an R&D effort with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's national science agency. Boulder Ionics is developing electrolytes and other electrochemicals specifically used for ultracapcitors, lithium ion batteries, and metal-air batteries. More information »
