Amkor, Toshiba Complete Malaysian Semiconductor Sale

Chandler, Arizona-based Amkor Technology, the provider of semiconductor packaging and test services, has completed its acquisition of Toshiba Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., the companies said today. Toshiba Electronics Malaysia (TEM) was Toshiba's semiconductor packaging operations based in Malaysia. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to the two, Toshiba has agreed to purchase packaging and test services from Amkor under a manufacturing services agreement. The deal also included a license from Toshiba to Amkor of related intellectual property rights.
